Fishery Information

The picturesque East Lothian countryside is the backdrop for Markle Fisheries, located close to East Linton. It comprises three small, easily accessible lochans near the Lodge and parking lot. The total land area of the complex is over ten acres. Markle and Monastery Lochans are fly only and hold rainbows, browns, blues, golden, and tiger trout. The third lochan, Loch Kin is for bait anglers and holds trout, carp, tench, rudd, and crucians.

The fishery is a member of the Association of Scottish Stillwater Fisheries, which ensures that the facility offers and maintains high-quality facilities and services at all times. They provide fly and bait fishing to both seasoned fishermen and novices alike, and they are open all year long, seven days a week, from 8 am to dark, assuming the weather cooperates.
