Fishery Information

Situated in the tranquil setting of Ringstead, Northants, Mill Cotton Fishery is a purpose-built site comprising of two waters, Snake Lake and Donut Lake. Both venues offer ample swims and have several pegs that are accessible to the disabled angler.

The location is regularly stocked and boasts a healthy variety of Carp, Bream, Roach, Chub, Tench, Barbel and Rudd. The site is available to club members only and is open all year during daylight hours. Angling is subject to a number of specific rules, which can be found within the annual membership booklet.

What size do the fish go to?

Bream, Roach, Tench and Rudd are frequently caught within the 2-6lbs region. Barbel commonly come in at around 8lbs. Carp are regularly landed in the 20lbs region, with larger Carp being caught at over 30lbs on occasion.

What tactics work well?

Using the feeder with sweetcorn or worms can mean good results for Bream and Carp. In the warmer months, utilising pellets and boilies can be especially effective.
