Fishery Information

Office Lake Fishery is known to be the only fully licenced fishery in Nottinghamshire that specialises in Wels Catfish fishing. Dug out as a gravel pit between the 1950s and 1960s, this fishery was originally used by the management only and that’s how it got its name, “Office Lake.” In 1973, Office Lake Fishery won the award for the best restoration of a gravel pit.

This fishery has been neglected for the last couple of dates, but eventually restored to its former glory and now available for specialist fishing.

Day and night tickets must be booked in advance as there are no tickets available on the bank. Fishing without a ticket would be considered poaching. Anyone caught doing so will be prosecuted and tackle used will be confiscated.

What size do the fish go to?

This fishery is well-stocked with The Wels European Catfish that are over 70 lbs and carp that weigh up to 25 lbs. There are also eels, perch, pike, rudd and roach that exist in good sizes and numbers.

What tactics work well?

Lure works well for catching pike and catfish. Some also use mackerel tail for catching pike.

What facilities are on site?

We couldn’t find any information about the facilities on site.

Is parking available?

They allow people to drive and park at their large swims. No barrows needed as there is plenty of space even for large bivvies. You can park behind your swim as long as you do not obstruct the track.
