Fishery Information

Controlled by the Warrington Anglers Association, Phoenix Park Lake is a members only water situated between the Bridgewater Canal and the Phoenix park housing development near Runcorn. This water is a truly mixed fishery that is home to carp to 30 lbs, tench, bream, roach, perch, rudd, pike and eels.

This water has a lot of natural features including reed beds and lily pads. It has varying depths between 2 and 9 feet.

What size do the fish go to?

Carp go to 30 lbs.

What tactics work well?

All traditional fishing methods work on site, including float fishing, pole fishing and ledgering. Popular baits include maggots, casters, sweet corn, worms, luncheon meat, pellets and boilies.

Parking facilities are available on site.

Is parking available?

Parking is available on the Phoenix Park car park or the Barge pub car park.
