Fishery Information

Located in a spectacular location in Northumberland, the river Till offers 1.5 miles of pristine Trout fishing.  The mature trees that follow the stretch of water add to the tranquil atmosphere, as well as offering shelter from the elements. Furthermore, the surroundings are home to numerous birdlife species.

This particular spot has an excellent reputation for offering stunning salmon and Trout. The fishing season operates until from April until the end of November, giving an extended fishing time.

Importantly, anglers must produce and show a valid membership card to resident river watchers. Members must also take note that fishing for Brown trout and Grayling is currently not permitted.

What size do the fish go to?

Both Salmon and Trout are landed with frequency in double figures. Moreover, the largest specimen often exceed 20lbs.

What tactics work well?

Sweetcorn, worms, maggots, and bread are all effective baits. Also, walking the banks and seeking out deeper spots of water typically helps. Furthermore, small minnows, night-crawlers and leeches all tend to lure in the fish.

What facilities are on site?

Clean and accessible toilet facilities are open to visitors.
