Located in a stunning countryside location in Northumberland, The River Rede offers 3 miles of pristine Trout fishing. The water runs a short distance from the A8, therefore is easily accessible to all anglers. The venue has a reputation for being challenging, but also bringing rewarding results with patience.

The mature woodlands adjacent to the water offer shelter from the elements and are also home to numerous birdlife species. Furthermore, the stretch boasts numerous fishing features as well as an array of small pools.

Importantly, there is a healthy selection of fish on offer all year round. Brown and Rainbow Trout are caught with frequency and Salmon generally make an appearance at the end of June.

What size do the fish go to?

Rainbow Trout typically weight between 0.5lb and 1.5lbs. 

What tactics work well?

Anglers generally like to utilise crankbaits, jigs, and spoons. Also, minnows tend to be very effective in enticing larger fish.
