Selby 3 Lakes Complex

Address

Selby, North Yorkshire YO8 8NB, United Kingdom

Fishery Information

Selby is one of the best carp fisheries in the North of England. If you want to catch big carp, Selby is one of the best places up north to do just that. There are two lakes on this complex. One is a day ticket water that is 4 acres in size; night fishing is available on this water. There is also Syndicate Lake. As the name suggests, you have to be in the syndicate to fish this water. This lake is actually two lakes interconnected to create an 8-acre lake holding some beautiful fish.

What size do the fish go to?

The Syndicate Lake is where the biggest carp are on this venue, and they reach about 39lbs in this lake. The Day Ticket Lake does still have carp to about 30lbs, though. So, there are plenty of big carp to catch here. Both lakes also have plenty of 20s and double figure carp to catch, so if you fish this venue correctly, you will come home very pleased. Oh, there are also massive pike, sturgeon, perch, bream, rudd, and roach to be had too.

What tactics work well?

If you’re going to Selby for the first time, stick to tactics that you’ve caught with before. Almost all carp tactics will work on this venue; the carp do love particles, though, so pack some hemp, corn and some pellet for a good bed of bait. Keep your rigs simple and find a clear spot.

What facilities are on site?
