Tilery Lake

Address

Blacktoft, Brough HU15 2GS, United Kingdom

Fishery Information

Tilery Lake is operated and controlled by the Hull and District Angler’s Association. It is a fantastic fishing lake with some beautifully varied species, and most of them are massive. There are stunning carp in this lake that look prehistoric. There are also bream that look like dinner plates, tench that will fight until they are in the net, and pike that are the size of crocodiles. If you want to target a fish species and catch a wonderful example of the species, it is well worth visiting this lake if you are a member of the HDAA, of course.

What size do the fish go to?

The club keeps weights close to their chest. However, there is a low stock of carp in this lake, up to about 25lbs. There are also pike here that are at least 25lbs but could be bigger. Bream go to double figures, and the tench aren’t far behind either. This isn’t a carp lake; this is a stunning venue to target just about anything and catch massive. There are also roach, perch and eels to good weights here too.

What tactics work well?

Most anglers go to this venue with a target species in mind, so we can’t give tactics for every species in the lake. What we can say is natural baits work very well here, boilies do work sometimes, but many of the fish respond well to corn, maggots, meat and a good quality mix of groundbait.

What facilities are on site?

There are no facilities at Tilery Lake.

Is parking available?

Yes, parking is available.
