Seldom seen is part of the Willington District Angling Club. It is a coarse fishing pond found close to the communities of Newfield and Byers Green, on the south bank of the River Wear.

The pond contains some carp and pike in addition to a large population of perch, roach, bream, and tench. A full membership in the club entitles members to a discounted fishing permit for the pond.
