Fishery Information

Silverdale is a beautiful pond formed in 1995 by damming one of the springs that feed the main lake. With 2.5 metres depth in the middle, this water is used for breeding carp. It is also home to an impressive stock of golden rudd to 1 lb. and a few tench.

This pond is perfect for anglers who are looking to have an easy fishing experience. You can easily catch a dozen of carp per session. Stunning carp to 3 lbs. were reportedly caught by waterfall.

Tickets are available for this fishery and should be booked prior to fishing.

What size do the fish go to?

Carp go up to 3 lbs. and golden rudd to 1 lb..

What tactics work well?

Carp are rather partial to luncheon meat at about 2 feet depth. Float fish with light tackle also works well.

Golden rudd respond well to maggots and sweet corn with bread.

What facilities are on site?

There is a car park is located about 20 yards on the left beyond the lake.
