Fishery Information

Squabmoor Reservoir is 4 acres in size and offers you 15 swims to choose from which we think really nice as it gives everyone plenty of space and more than 2 acres each.

This is a lovely fishery and it’s actually an area of SSSI which is why it’s so nice. We recommend trying down at the shallow end where the lily pads areas this is where people have caught a lot of carp.

The carp in here go to 36lb which is really big and there is a lot of carp around 20lb in size. If carp are not your thing then there are other big fish in here such as tench to 7lb, bream to 10lb and some nice roach and perch that both go to over 2lb.

What size do the fish go to?

  • Carp to 36lb
  • Tench to 7lb
  • Bream to 10lb
  • Roach to 2lb
  • Perch to 3lb

What tactics work well?

Feeder fishing can work really well and pole tactics can produce good results in shallow water. Maggots and worms are 2 baits that work well here.

Pleasure anglers can catch really good bags of fish to feeder or pole tactics using worm and maggot.
