Fishery Information

Located in Canterbury, Kent, Stonar Lake is a tranquil setting stocked with a wide variety of fish. The lake has recently been restocked and is developing a pleasing range of Roach and larger Carp.

A nearby section of the River Stour is also available to fish. The bank is steep at points, so extra care must be taken when trying to find a swim.

Maps of the area are available from the main headquarters and the bailiffs are always happy to assist, or answer any questions.

What size do the fish go to?

Roach, Rudd and perch are regularly caught at the 3lb region. Significant catches of bream are also frequently recorded in the 4-6lb region. The Carp in this developing fishery are also now regularly being caught at larger sizes, with many reaching over 30lbs.

What tactics work well?

Boilies, pellets and sweetcorn are a popular choice for enticing Carp. Maggots, casters and expander pellets also work very well, especially for the smaller species.

What facilities are on site?

There is a café on-site, selling freshly prepared food and beverages, as well as providing clean toilet facilities.
