Fishery Information

Teakettle Fisheries is a very exciting fishing venue for anyone interested in catching very big carp in the UK. Sure, the price for a syndicate ticket for this venue is one of the most expensive in the UK, but there is a real chance of catching one of the largest carp in the UK at this venue. The syndicate at Teakettle Fisheries allows you to fish two lakes: Whittle Mere and Thorney Mere. Whittle Mere is a 20-acre lake and Thorney Mere is a 10-acre lake. Both have large numbers of carp, and neither of the lakes are overfished.

What size do the fish go to?

Whittle Mere has over 300 carp in the lake with averages of about 25lbs. However, there are 50lb carp in this lake. Thorney Mere hasn’t been fished too much yet, but catches of 37lb mirror carp were recorded during the test fishing on this lake. The lake started off with 50 lovely carp, but this has been supplemented with 130 carp bred at the site.

What tactics work well?

Both lakes are really big, so take advantage of any features your peg has. If you’re fishing to open water, find a clear patch and bait up nicely with corn, hemp, crushed boilies and even pellets. A stinky bottom bait is a good idea as it will attract the carp quickly. Ensure your rigs and tackle can land the largest carp in the lake.

What facilities are on site?

There is a toilet available at Teakettle Fisheries.

Is parking available?

Yes, parking is available.
