Fishery Information
The Moathouse is a well-established fishery located in the rear of the library on Whitmore Way in Basildon. It comprises of a walled island that is roughly 1 acre in size and has fifty purpose-built swims, some of which are designed to accommodate anglers with limited mobility.
Carp, Tench, Roach, Rudd, Perch, and Crucian Carp are just few of the fish species that thrive in this body of water.
The Moathouse is not just a highly prolific match venue, with weights of more over 100 pounds, but also a highly fruitful pleasure fishing venue, with weights of far more than this. The water is easy to access and enjoyable for recreational anglers.
