What tactics work well?

Floating baits can be used on Alders Lake. Using maggot with a bit of corn is a popular method for colder months. In spring, ide and roach respond well to maggots, caster and chopped worm. On the other hand, carp respond well to meat or corn. In summer, maggot, caster and pellets work well for catching fish.

Many anglers use pellets and groundbait on Cedar Lake. Maggots are also used during colder months.

Floating baits can be fished on Firs, Oaks, Maple and Poplars. Popular methods include maggot during colder months. In spring, maggots, pellets, meat or corn work well. In summer, fish shallow spraying pellets and put in a few floating pellets and fish a pellet 6-inch deep. Cat meat and paste are also worth a try during spring. Fishing a floating dog biscut and feed floating pellets reportedly work well, too.
