Located in Market Rasen, Lincolnshire, Thorpe-le-vale Trout fishery is a stunning facility that offers excellent Trout fishing. The venue comprises of 2 lakes which offer various fishing features.
The top lake is the ideal spot for dry fly fishing. Moreover, the site is surrounding by mature trees which add to the feeling of tranquility. Also, the fish in these waters are notorious for being good fighters.
The second lake is even quieter and presents the perfect setting for a relaxing getaway. Additionally, the long grass and woodland areas nearby are home to various wildlife species.
Both waters are home to an extremely health stock of Blue and Brown Trout.
What size do the fish go to?
Both Blue and Brown Trout generally weigh between 2 and 8lbs. Furthermore, Trout in double figures have been reported on occasion.
What tactics work well?
Pheasant tails, Buzzers and Daddies are all recommended. Moreover, natural flies such as Damsils and Caddis work very well.
What facilities are on site?
The area is particularly remote, therefore facilities are rather limited. However, clean and accessible toilet facilities are open to visitors.
