The Washpit is one of the bodies of water that make up the Willington Complex located in Bedfordshire. Other bodies of water included in this complex are the Bombhole Pit Lake, the Hithcocks Lake, the Dovecote Lake, the Daisleys Lake, and 2,000 yards of river. The Washpit is a good summer fishery managed by Blunham and District Angling Club, contains large numbers of roach, rudd, carp, perch, and crucians, among other species. It is open throughout the entire year and it is a good venue for young anglers.
