The town of Weston-on-Trent, in the county of Derbyshire, is home to the Weston Moat Fishery, conveniently located near Coopers Lake. If you prefer fishing in more natural settings, then this is definitely a location that you should check out at some point. The lake covers approximately 2.5 acres, and the depth of the water at most points ranges from 8 to 12 feet.

The lake has a diverse assortment of animal and plant species. There are many carp here that get up into the mid-20s in size, so if huge carp are your thing, you are in luck. There are tench, roach, barbel, and some large true slabby bream to target if you prefer to fish using match type tactics.
