Fishery Information

Baden Hall has seven lakes in total. There are three specimen waters, three runs waters and a pleasure/match water as well. On just one of the runs waters on this complex, a local angler caught 125 carp in a 48-hour session. That shows what is possible at Baden Hall. This is an extremely exciting fishing complex, no matter which water you fish.

What size do the fish go to?

The Quarry is home to the largest carp on the lake, with catches of a mirror over 50lbs. There is also a common at 49lbs and plenty of fish over 40lb and at least 50 carp over 30lbs. The other specimen lakes hold carp to over 40lbs as well.

The runs waters hold carp to mid-20s and over, but there are hundreds of them, so there is a really good chance of catching loads of 20s in quick fashion.

The match lake has good quality fish too. There are F1, roach, bream, chub, barbel, perch and more.

What tactics work well?

The tactics on these lakes vary very slightly, so it is well worth speaking with the staff at the tackle shop when you arrive. However, on the runs waters, single baits or a method feeder positioned near showing fish is a very good option.

What facilities are on site?

There is a cafe at the lakes, there is also a tackle shop offering tackle and baits that are perfectly suited to the lakes. Ask in the shop which baits are working best on the lakes at the time of your visit, the staff really know their stuff! There are also fishing cabins on certain lakes and plenty more.

Is parking available?

Yes, parking is available.
