Fishery Information

Situated just outside of Bolton, Bradshaw Fisheries is a tranquil location that consists of a total of 9 lakes.

Lake 1, 5 and 7 are all smaller stretches of water, their purpose tends to be to hold stock for the larger sites and rear future generations of fish. However, fishing can be good on these venues, and they are generally considered to be ideal for juniors and beginners.

Lake 2 is a specimen lake which holds a variety of large Carp, Tench, Bream and Roach.

A popular 28 peg site, Lake 3 has recently been stocked with Carp, Tench, Bream Chub, Roach and Barbel.

Lake 4, 6, 8 and 9 are match waters offering pegs with a variety of different fishing features. Furthermore, the lakes are stocked with a wide variety of quality fish, such as large Carp, Bream, Roach, Chub, Perch and Barbel.

The fishery has developed a reputation for being a first-class leisure facility. The sheer variety of settings and number of fish ensure that both the beginner and more seasoned angler always leave having had a good day’s sport.

What size do the fish go to?

Carp tend to come in between 15-20lbs but have been known to hit 28lbs. Bream have come in at the 7lbs region as well as Barbell between 7-9lbs.

What tactics work well?

Ground bait feeder tactics have proven to be successful for Bream. Boilies and floaters should be utilised during the warmer months.

What facilities are on site?

There is an on-site café that sells a variety of freshly prepared snacks, plus hot can cold beverages. Clean and accessible toilet facilities are also provided.
