Fishery Information

Set in a stunning location in Horwich, near Bolton, Gingham Fisheries is a peaceful location that offers great sport to both the novice and more seasoned angler. The waters comprise of two lakes in total, both of which stock a healthy quantity of Carp, Bream, Roach, Rudd and Perch. The larger lake has a total of 27 pegs, several of which are accessible to the disabled and elderly angler. The smaller lake has 7 spacious pegs, which boast a variety of fishing features.

The site is open for both day tickets and match anglers. Discounted prices are available to juniors and over 65’s. On-site bailiffs are always close to hand to answer any outstanding queries.

What size do the fish go to?

Bream, Roach, Rudd and Perch are frequently caught in the region of 3-5lbs. Fish species tend to be bigger in the larger lake, with large Carp hitting well over 20lbs.

What tactics work well?

Using a feeder with worms or sweetcorn tends to be extremely effective. Pellets and boilies should be considered, especially during the warmer months.

Clean and accessible toilet facilities are available on location.
