Fishery Information

Situated in Chorley, Lancashire, German Lane Fishery is a popular spot for both the beginner and more seasoned angler. The site consists of 2 lakes in total, both of which are generously sized and boast a variety of fishing features. The first lake is slightly smaller, with an oval shape and is generally considered the ideal spot for novices to gain a bit of experience. The second larger lake is the match lake, which has an average depth of around 8ft.

Both lakes are stocked with a healthy variety of Carp, Roach, Rudd and Tench. The venue is open year-round as a day ticket fishery. 

What size do the fish go to?

Roach, Tench and Rudd tend to come in within the region of 2-7lbs. Carp are frequently caught between 10-15lbs, and larger catches have been known to reach 27lbs.

What tactics work well?

Using a feeder with worms or sweetcorn can be very effective. Pellets and boilies should also be considered during the warmer months. Keep mats and ground bait are permitted, however the use of barbed hooks is strictly prohibited.

Clean and accessible toilet facilities are available on location.

  1. German lane fishery is a day ticket only, you do not need to be a member!

    Above it states you can use barbed hooks! Clearly these are not allowed
