Fishery Information

Bromeswell Lakes is a beautiful fishing complex with two lakes in the lovely Suffolk countryside.

Horseshoe Lake sees the most activity, and there are 26 pegs on this lake as well as some impressively big residents to catch. Each of the pegs is easily accessible with gently sloping grass banks. Horseshoe Lake has an average depth of 4ft.

Willow Lake was designed for pole anglers in mind and offers a fantastic day’s fishing for any match-style anglers out there. The max depth of Willow is five feet (next to the island). The margins are a lot shallower than this.

What size do the fish go to?

Horseshoe Lake has a good head of carp up to over 24lbs. There are also hard-fighting tench to 4lbs, massive roach to over 3lbs, bream to 3lbs and rudd to 2lbs.

Willow Lake has carp to 12lbs, as well as beautiful rudd, roach and a lot of tench.

What tactics work well?

Most anglers who fish Bromeswell Lakes use match tactics to very good effect. While carp angling techniques can work, most fish on the site respond well to pole and method feeding best. You can also have a brilliant day’s fishing here on the float.

What facilities are on site?

There are currently no facilities on-site, but some pegs are accessible to disabled anglers. However, give Bromeswell a call to double-check before you arrive.

Is parking available?

Yes, parking is available next to Willow Lake.
