The Vineyard lake is approximately 1 acre in size and holds around 100 specimen carp with an average weight over 21lb, two of which are over the 30lb mark. Kestrel, the match lake, has up to 15lb carp, roach, bream and perch up to 2lb. The Osprey, another match pool, has an island, 44 pegs, and a variety of fish such as 10lb carp, bream, roach, perch, crusian carp, tench, and gudgeon. Hawk lake is long and narrow, and it holds tench, bream, chub, and barbel. Finally, Pheasant lake, with an oval shape, lies beneath rustic British woodland and hosts crucian carp, roach, bream, and rudd.

What tactics work well?

The fishing experience at Buzzards Valley Fishery is suitable for anglers of all skill levels. Specific tactics that work well vary depending on the type of fish you are targeting. Caster and worm when float fishing are recommended for catching roach and bream. For carp fishing, all tactics can have their day, and it is best to plan to fish over several days and nights.
