Candy Corner Fisheries is a beautiful complex with some stunning lakes and even prettier fish. They have every type of coarse fishing available on this complex. From catching your first fish to catching a PB and winning a match with the biggest net, they have it all.
There are four lakes on this complex. Two reserved for pleasure fish only, and two match and pleasure lakes. The match and pleasure lakes are the ones that most anglers visit the site for, but the two pleasure lakes are also well worth fishing.
What size do the fish go to?
The latest weekly open match results show a massive 118lb bag for first place. This was an open match with local anglers as well, not the UK championships. Any match angler who can get on the fish in one of these lakes is sure to bag an impressive weight! You could catch common, mirror, ghost and Crucian carp. As well as bream, roach, ide, perch, tench and more here.
What tactics work well?
All of the lakes here are fished with match tactics. Some anglers stay exclusively on the pole, and this works very well. Others tend to go back and forth from feeder to float. Again, these work very well. Banded pellets and lose pellets are the go-to for most but don’t be afraid of using chopped worm, maggots and corn too. All of which catch large amounts here.
What facilities are on site?
There is a good quality bait shop on-site as well as some bankside grub while you wait for a bite.
