Fishery Information
Located in beautiful and picturesque Stockwood Vale, Keynsham, Bristol, Century Ponds is a 2-pond carp and silver fish venue that contains a good stock of carp to mid-20s. This fishery offers easy access and holds up to 26 anglers. There is ample parking available on site. It also provides disabled access facilities which include exclusive bank-side parking, 5 double-width platforms and level access to over 10 platforms.
Constructed in 2000, Island Pond is a 3/4-acre water with depths between 2 feet and 8 feet. It holds 13 anglers on sturdy purpose-built platforms. It also has 2 double-width disabled swims with level access. This water is often used as a silver fish match venue and holds a good stock of carp to mid-doubles. In 2004, new stocks of tench and crucian carp were added to this pond. Bream were stocked in batches in 2002, 2003 and 2008. There is also a significant batch of 6 to 8-inch carp added in February 2008. This water is also home to roach and perch that weigh up to 2 lbs.
Created in 1989, the Old Pond is a half-acre, spring fed lake with depths between 2 feet and 8 feet. Just like the Island Pond, it holds 13 anglers on purpose-built platforms, 3 of which are double-width disabled swims. It is home to a huge stock of carp to over 25 lbs., perch to 3 lbs., crucian carp to 2 lbs., bream to over 4 lbs. and roach to over 2 lbs.. Other fish species present in this water include tench, chub, eel and gudgeon. This pond is a the venue for the All Night Carp Series.
Day tickets are available for this venue but must be booked in advance. Please note that day tickets are not transferable and not sold on the bank. This fishery requires a current Keynsham A.A. licence before fishing. Fly fishing and night fishing are not allowed on site.
What size do the fish go to?
Island Pond holds carp to mid-doubles as well as roach and perch up to 2 lbs.. On the other hand, Old Pond holds carp to 25 lbs., bream to over 4 lbs., perch to 3 lbs., and crucian carp to 2 lbs..
