Fishery Information

In the picturesque countryside of Hampshire, close to Andover, in the quaint little village of Charlton, you will find Charlie’s lake. The naturally spring-fed body of water that was formerly referred to as Peril Lake spans over 3 acres and has a total of 39 pegs.

The lake is surrounded by woodlands, and contains a variety of fish species, such as carp, bream, tench, and pike, as well as chub, perch, ghost carp, roach barbel, and barbel. Night fishing is possible with arrangement.

What size do the fish go to?

Carp to 20lb, Bream to 6lb, Roach to 2lb, Perch to 3.5lb, Chub to 6.5lb, Tench to 4lb, Pike to 20lb

What tactics work well?

Pole fishing and wagler

Best baits-sweetcorn, meat, worm, maggot and caster for Roach, plus boilies for the larger fish.
