Fishery Information

Coston Lakes is a day-ticket carp fishing lake in Norfolk‘s quiet countryside. You need to book in advance to visit the venue and adhere to the rules posted in the “Files” section.

The lake is around 8 acres in size and has 14 swims with carp ranging from 15 to 39lb. The majority of carp are common, along with a few mirrors and ghosties. The water is fairly clear with depths varying from 4ft to 10ft. The lake bed is firm all over, so most rigs will be effective. All swims have access to areas of non-fishing banks, snags, or open water.

Facilities: Secure parking is available on-site, right by the lake. There’s a lovely wooden lodge with a microwave, fridge, shower, and toilet. Each swim is properly built, and bivvying up on flat, dry surfaces will never pose an issue at any time of year. A barrow would be handy to get around to some of the further swims.

Rules: No peanuts are allowed, and there’s a 2-rod rule. The minimum line-breaking strain is 12lb (or .30 mm diameter), and leaders or braided mainline are not permitted.

Stock: There are around 14 swims with carp ranging from 15 to 39lb. The majority of carp are common, along with a few mirrors and ghosties. There is also a large head of carp present, along with some stunning Roach that goes up to 3 lbs.

Booking: Tickets must be booked in advance, and the minimum length of a ticket is 24 hours. You can book the lake at a cost of £280 for 24hrs.

Bungalow Lake: On the left-hand side of the site is the Bungalow Lake, which is an exclusive syndicate venue packed with the 20s and topped by a stunning 40lb common. Walking around Bungalow Lake is not allowed unless you are a member of the lease-holding syndicate.
