Fishery Information

Cranborne Lake is run by Ringwood and District Angling Society which has a lot of waters in the area and does a great job looking after them.

This venue is 4 acres in size and is surrounded by woodland with plenty of trees which means it’s a good place to fish on windy days if you want to get out of the wind.

Depths vary from 3 to 8ft and there are plenty of reeds around the edges that make good features to fish next to.

There’s a good stock of fish with the biggest carp going to 20lb. Apart from the carp, you can expect to catch roach, rudd and even the odd goldfish which is always a nice change. The angling club describes this venue as being stuffed with small fish for those who want action all day.

As this is just a general coarse fishing venue no bivvies, boats, fires or dogs are allowed at this venue.

It’s sometimes used for matches so always double-check that there’s not a match on before you go.
