Fishery Information

Headfen Lakes is a 10 year old fishery located in the Fenland countryside,  north of Little Downham, Near Ely in Cambridgeshire. The complex , which is 10 aces, has the following custom built and well stocked three lake venues. The lakes meet all your fishing needs regardless of whether you are a seasoned Match Angler looking for big weights and top competition or simply a pleasure angler looking for a good days sport.

Snake Lake is a 28-peg lake with a snake shape that is uniform throughout. It is specifically designed for commercial match angling. The lake is home to Carp ranging in size from 1lb to 12lb, with a large number of F1s.

Trev’s Lake is a 36-peg oval-shaped lake with a large island specifically designed for anglers who prefer to use traditional float and feeder tactics as well as the pole to catch their fish. When compared to Snake Lake, the stock in this lake is much more diverse, with Chub weighing up to 5lb, Bream weighing up to 6lb, Barbel weighing up to 8lb, Tench weighing up to 6lb. Other fish in the lake include F1’s, Roach, large Perch, Gudgeon, Crucians, and carp weighing up to 25lb.

Tosh’s Lake is a 13-peg water designed specifically for the pleasure angler. Common, Mirror, and Ghost Carp, which can reach double figures and weigh up to 15lb, is plenty in this water, along with ornamental fish and bream up to 6lb. It is the smallest of the complex’s waters and is the most heavily stocked. The lake is an excellent location for small matches.
