Fishery Information

Creedy Lakes is a set of 2 lakes that are spring-fed and set in picturesque and peaceful surroundings which were built all the way back in the 18th century. The lakes are perfect for the angler who really wants to get away from the hustle and bustle of daily life and truly relax in peace and catch some decent fish.

The lakes are both spring-fed and they are open from Match until the end of December as its closed during January and February for maintenance and to give the fish a few months off.

Night fishing is allowed here.

There is a good mix of carp here that go all the way up to 36lb. There are some lovely koi carp that you might catch, as well as tench or the odd lovely golden tench. It’s these species that makes this venue so special.

Main Lake – As the name says, this is the main lake, and also the biggest at 4.5 acres in size. This is where the biggest fish are and the overall stock of fish is bigger as well. Its a very mature venue and is suitable for the more experienced angler.

Depths in this lake range from 2ft all the way down to 12ft.

Top Lake – This lake is the more well-rounded lake with smaller fish which will suit beginners or those that are purely here for a pleasure session who are happy to catch whatever takes their bait. There are still some big fish in here with some low double-sized carp as well as plenty of silver fish.

What size do the fish go to?

  • Eels to 8lb
  • Tench to 8lb
  • Carp to 30lb with a lot of good-sized double fish.

What tactics work well?

Fish near the lily pads or features.

What facilities are on site?

Wheelchair assistance is available and one of the pegs can be reserved for disabled anglers. They can also drive their car right up to the peg but this is only reserved for blue badge holders only.

At the car park, there is a building with 2 toilets with cold water and a shaving point. Perfect for if you are fishing overnight.

Is parking available?

Yes, there is a car park with plenty of parking.
