Fishery Information

Controlled by the Cranbrook and District Angling Club, Darwell Reservoir was formed in the 1950s. Set in the pristine and idyllic Sussex countryside, this water covers around 156 acres.

This vast water is home to common and mirror carp to 22 lbs., pike to over 20 lbs., perch to over 3 lbs., eel to over 8 lbs., roach to 2 lbs., dace, bream, chub, tench and brown and rainbow trout.

There is a limit of 3 rods per angler. Fishing is permitted from dawn until dusk only. They do not allow fishing in the Hog Trough Bay area. There are 4 boats on site that are available for hire.
