The lake contains carp up to 28lb, with over twenty doubles and backup high teens. There are also bream up to 13lb with an average weight of 6lb. The silvers in the lake include perch, eels up to 7lb, roach, rudd, gudgeon, and skimmers.

What tactics work well?

All types of fishing are available at Duchess Pond, including surface fishing. Maggots and worms are effective for catching perch, eels, roach, rudd, gudgeon, and skimmers.

What facilities are on site?

There are gates around the lake for gaining access. Anglers must book 24hrs in advance via email on the website, and they will receive a confirmation and the gate code. Parking is available through the gates under the bridge and to the left, close to the hedge and other parked vehicles. Unhooking mats must be used while unhooking large fish on the bank.
