Fairwood Lakes Holiday Park

Address

32 Fairwood Road, Westbury, BA13 4EL, Wilts, United Kingdom

Fishery Information

This holiday park holds a wonderful fishing secret that is available to locals and guests of the holiday park alike. Many local anglers have been fishing these lakes for years and regularly catch some lovely fish. If your family loves fishing, this is the perfect venue in the West Country for you. You’ll bag some beauties in the lake and enjoy some stunning surroundings too.

What size do the fish go to?

The carp at this venue go to about 27lbs. There are also bream to 8lbs, tench to 7lbs, perch to 4lbs and Pike to 25lbs. There is also plenty of rudd and roach up to about a pound as well. Nets of over 80lbs of silverfish are easily achievable at this venue.

What tactics work well?

The best baits to use at this venue are maggots, bread, corn and chopped worm. As there isn’t many massive carp in this venue, most anglers here fish with match-style tactics rather than carp tactics. So, float fishing and pole fishing are great. However, method feeder fishing works brilliantly here and could see you land one of the larger fish that call the lakes home.

What facilities are on site?

While fishing at Fairwood Lakes, you have access to toilets which are just by the lakes. You can also visit the cafe that makes an amazing full English, and there are bacon rolls to take away and enjoy on the bank too.

Is parking available?

Yes, parking is available next to the lakes.
