Fishery Information
Framfield Park Fisheries is a brilliant fishery for match anglers. There is three lakes at the complex, two of which are geared towards match angling. The other lake is a specimen lake with some wonderful carp in it. So, there is plenty of fishing for everyone at this venue and some very big fish to catch no matter what lake you fish.
What size do the fish go to?
There are catfish to over 105lbs at this venue! There are also carp (mirror and common) to 25lbs plus. Tench to 8lbs, roach to over 3lbs, perch to 4lb and a great deal more. There are also ghost carp in some of the lakes that have been so difficult to catch no one actually knows how big they go.
What tactics work well?
All of the lakes have islands to fish to, which is always a good place to start. However, the islands are the most fished parts of all the lakes, so paying attention to the margins is a very good idea too. If you can find a clear spot in the middle of the lakes, this is also a good way of catching migrating fish as they search for food. Bright baits are popular, but match anglers do extremely well on natural baits too. Maggot, corn and some good quality groundbait can produce a very good day of fishing.
