Fishery Information

Situated in Kings Lynn, Norfolk, Gayton Fisheries is a pristine location that offers fantastic sport to the keen Carp angler. The site comprises of three lakes, all of which boast numerous fishing features as well as healthy stocks of fish.

Mallard Lake was the first operational water at the venue. It spans across 2 acres and has an average depth of 10ft. Furthermore, the lake is surrounded with mature bushes and overhanging trees, which add to the tranquil atmosphere. Additionally, the setting is home to a healthy head of Carp, Tench and Catfish.

Heron Pool is a small water that is ideal for the leisure angler. It is approximately ¾ of an acre and houses a good number of Tench, Perch and Bream.

Kingfisher Pond is the newest addition to the complex. It is a small fishery but boasts many beautiful features, such as three small Islands. The waters are home to a good number of Bream, Roach, Rudd and Carp.

What size do the fish go to?

Bream, Tench, Roach and Rudd typically weigh in between 3 and 7 lbs. Additionally, Carp are frequently landed in double figures with the larger specimen exceeding 20lbs. Impressively, Catfish have been caught on occasion at over 40lbs.

What tactics work well?

Utilising pellets and boilies during warmer periods can be effective. Moreover, using a feeder with sweetcorn or worms can help to entice the larger specimen. Maggots, sweetcorn, and cured meat are all popular choices of bait.
