Fishery Information

Just a few miles from Nottingham is Hackett Lakes. An exciting two lake fishing complex that promises an excellent day’s fishing for carp and coarse anglers alike.

Lake 1 is the smaller of the two lakes and is best known for its match-style fishing. Carp in this lake go up to 20lbs, and there is a host of other species to target too. With roach, perch, chub, tench and more lurking in the reeds, you’ll be catching all day long.

Lake 2 is the larger of the two lakes with carp up to 20lbs as well as plenty of other species to target too.

What size do the fish go to?

The carp in both lakes go to 20lbs. With many roach and perch, clearing a pound and some tench to over 5lb.

What tactics work well?

You can’t go wrong with a few maggots on a small hook at this venue. As this is a match style venue, sweetcorn and pellets work brilliantly too. Sticking to sweetcorn in the afternoon promises plenty of action in the edges on both lakes, but this tactic works fantastically well on the bigger lake.

What facilities are on site?

Facilities are somewhat limited at these lakes, but food is available with an advanced booking. There is also a Portaloo on-site as well.

Is parking available?

Yes, parking is available on site.
