Fishery Information

Hanworth Country Park is a lovely location that provides a variety of facilities. It is located in Potterhanworth in the city of Lincoln in the county of Lincolnshire. One of these activities is fishing in a number of lakes that are open to day visitors as well as park residents throughout the entire day.

Mirror carp, common carp, chub, barbel, F1s, ide, perch, roach, and tench are just some of the fish species found in the lakes.  The following Hanworth Country Park lakes are open to both competitive and recreational anglers:

Doughnut Lake is the second smallest lake in the park, but it is a great place to unwind because it is surrounded by natural beauty. The lake has ten pegs. It is in close proximity to the glamping pods and is encircled by trees on all sides.

One of the larger lakes at the park is Horseshoe Lake, and true to its name, it takes the form of a horseshoe. This lake has 32 pegs, and you can find it in the middle of the park. It is one of the most popular fishing spots in the vicinity.

Mallard Lake is a beautiful lake located just a short distance from the park’s accommodation facilities. It has 26 pegs and is dotted with woodland covered islands.

Next to the main lake, as well as the luxury lodges and static caravans, you will find the L-shaped Canal Lake, which is a long and narrow body of water with 26 pegs.

The tiniest of the three lakes, Conservation Lake can be found in an idyllic, remote setting, surrounded on all sides by open land and trees. However, fishing is not permitted at this lake at the present time.

The Ornamental Lake of the park is the Main Lake located in the middle of Canal Lake and Mallard Lake, and in close proximity to the luxury lodges and static caravans. Even though fishing is not permitted on the lake at the moment, it is a lovely place to take a stroll or sit and take in the sights of the natural scenery that surrounds the lake and the park.
