Fishery Information

Lakeside is a well-stocked adult-only coarse fishing lake in the heart of beautiful East Yorkshire. It is only 15 miles east of the iconic city of York and four miles south of the historic town of Pocklington. The Lake has a maximum depth of 12 feet and covers approximately 6 acres.

The Lake has 45 pegs, several of which are wider than usual. With an off-center island, reed-fringed borders, and floating lily pads, the Lake was designed by current owner Richard Smith in the late 1990s and is open year-round. It does not host matches or night fishing.

Because no one can reserve fishing pegs, angling is available to anyone and everyone interested. You must purchase day tickets from the Honesty Fishing Hut before you can begin fishing at the Lake.

Carp and tench have a safe haven beneath the overhanging branches of the trees, away from anglers. In addition, it provides anglers of all skill levels with access to a diverse selection of fishing opportunities.
