Any match anglers will likely already know about Lindholme Lakes. It is one of the finest match venues in the UK. There are over 450 pegs on this venue spread over 10 lakes. National fishing matches are conducted at Lindholme Lakes every year. Past matches include the Angling Trust National Championships and Maver’s Match This competition. Basically, if you’re a match-style angler, this is the place to fish. Of course, if you’re a pleasure angler and love fishing with the pole, waggler or feeders, you will also have a blinding day’s fishing at this venue too.
What size do the fish go to?
Weights to nearly 200lbs are possible on some of the lakes. Other lakes produce about 100lbs per match. Lindholme Lakes holds open matches throughout the week if you’d like to have a go at beating the best.
What tactics work well?
Pole fishing is one of the more popular tactics at Lindholme Lakes. Method feeder fishing is also brilliant here. Pellets will be your best friend for the carp and f1s, but don’t forget your maggots and corn too. Bait a couple of areas at the beginning of your session, and you will likely catch all day long.
What facilities are on site?
There is a tackle shop at Lindholme Lakes, which mainly stocks Drennan gear as they are a sponsor of the lakes, but they also have quality baits too. There is also lodges and caravan pitches available. There are public toilets for the anglers and a good restaurant and pub too.

Parking for the lakes is widely available across the site.
