Lizard Fishery Information

Lizard fisheries is a two-lake venue located just to the south of Cowley, with good access just off the M25. The lakes are well stocked with a variety of species and catching a ‘full bag’ is not uncommon. The water is available as a day ticket only, and this is purchased from a machine in the car park. One of the lakes is stocked with smaller Carp along with Bream, Roach, Perch and Tench. The other lake holds bigger fish and anglers are limited to fish with boilies only.

Due to the high proportion of fish, it is an ideal venue for novices looking to build their confidence.

The water has no closed season and nigh

What size do the fish go to?

In the general coarse fishing lake, the carp can go up to 10lb, but 5lb is a good average limit.

Both Roach and Perch have been caught up to 2lb

The boilie-only lake holds some great double-figure carp. With anglers reporting fish of around 23lb.

What tactics work well?

Several tactics will work well. Different coloured boilies can produce results

Big baits are not necessary on the match lake, with hair rigged pellets and luncheon meat often performing well.

The venue has lots of trees and overhangs, fishing the margins on a bed of pellets can produce fish.
