Fishery Information

Longford small lake is a 3 acre stretch of water that sits adjacent to the main lake. The area is surrounded by mature trees, providing a serene setting that offers shelter from the elements if necessary.

The depth of the water ranges from 3ft to 15ft. The lake boasts a healthy stock of Carp, Roach, Perch, Tench, Bream, and Skimmers.

Night fishing is permitted, as well as bait boats and boilies up to a size of 15mm.

What size do the fish go to?

Carp in the 22lbs region are caught with frequency. A healthy quantity of smaller carp around 12lbs have also been stocked, and are expected to grow as time progresses.

What tactics work well?

Using a feeder with sweetcorn or worms amounts to successful results for Bream and Carp. In the warmer months, anglers have found that using pellets and boilies (up to 15mm) have proven to be effective techniques.
