Fishery Information

Situated in Sevenoaks, Kent, Montreal Park is a 2-acre mixed fishery comprising of two lakes. Both lakes have been heavily restocked in recent years and boast a healthy selection of Crucian Carp, Roach, Rudd, Perch, Tench and Skimmers.

Shallower sections of the waters sit at 2 ft with deeper parts of the water going down to 8ft. The spot is popular with the novice angler, however more seasoned anglers may also enjoy a fun day’s fishing.

A total number of 3 rods may be used on the larger lake, and anglers must be in possession of the required E.A. rod licenses.

For the smaller lake, a total of 2 rods may be used for either day or night fishing. Bait boats may also be utilised, as well as boilies up to 15mm.

What size do the fish go to?

In the larger lake, Bream and Tench commonly reach over 10lbs, as well as Pike into the 25lb region. The current record for Carp stands at over 42lbs.

The smaller lake has a range of Tench and Bream that reach over 5lbs. Carp are caught with frequency at a weight of over 20lbs.

What tactics work well?

Using a feeder with sweetcorn or worms is beneficial. In the warmer months, using pellets and boilies (up to 15mm) may help to entice the larger carp. Bait boats may be used, but there is a limit of 1kg of bait per 24 hours.
