Fishery Information

Workshop Ponds are controlled and maintained by Walton Angling Club. What a fantastic job this angling club has done at breathing new life into this already impressive fishing venue. In 2019, the WAC added loads of fresh faces into the lake. This made the residents in the lake compete for food again, and this has seen the average stamp of fish in the lake rise very nicely. Workshop Ponds now has plenty of large carp to catch, and some stunning examples of mirrors and fully scaled carp that you’ll never tire of catching. Of course, you must be a member of the WAC to catching these beauties, but it is well worth it. The club cares for its waters so well and encourages its members to do the same while having plenty of fun catching some stunning fish.

What size do the fish go to?

The largest carp we know of is just shy of 30lbs. There is also plenty of carp at Workshop Ponds to over 20lbs and hundreds of double-figure carp, thanks to the restocking in 2019. there are also really nice bream and some tench to catch too. For pole anglers, there are also some great roach and rudd to catch.

What tactics work well?

There’s a number of very small islands at Workshop Ponds that are worth targeting. Some pegs have lily pad beds and islands to fish to. A great spot is between the pads and the islands. You can grab a quick bite in these areas as the carp move between them.

What facilities are on site?

No facilities that we know of.

Is parking available?
