Fishery Information

Pheasants Wood Fishery is the North West’s newest carp, pleasure, and match fishery, having undergone significant redevelopment since October 2020. The fishery features two lakes: Woodcock Lake, a 5.5-acre specimen lake, and Snipes Lake, a 2-acre mixed pleasure and match lake.

What size do the fish go to?

Woodcock Lake has carp up to 32lb with an average around 20lb and catfish reaching over 42lb. Snipes Lake is stocked with carp up to 15lb, perch up to 4lb, bream up to 6lb, roach up to 2lb, and numerous golden rudd and skimmers.

What tactics work well?

In Woodcock Lake, anglers can explore open water spots, underwater shelves, reed-laden margins, and island chucks. For Snipes Lake, fishing near the islands and overhanging trees is effective. Keep bites coming all day long by targeting golden rudd and skimmers.

What facilities are on site?

The Lodge has been completely remodelled and now houses a café and bar with freshly cooked food, hot and cold drinks, and a selection of alcoholic beverages. End tackle and bait, including fishery pellets, are available. Shower and toilet facilities are also provided for anglers.

Is parking available?

Although specific parking information is not mentioned, it is reasonable to assume that parking is available on site for anglers, as this fishery offers a variety of amenities and facilities for a comfortable fishing experience.
