Located in a stunning location near Ruskington, Lincolnshire, Priory Lakes offer excellent fishing to the dedicated Carp angler. The venue comprises of 3 lakes in total, all of which boast a number of fishing features plus a healthy stock of Bream, Roach, Tench and Carp.

Priory Lake is over 150 years old and retains a natural beauty. Furthermore, the waters are surrounded by mature trees, which add to the natural charm of the waters.

Hogtrough lake is a newer and developing lake but still provides an excellent spot to fish for Carp. Additionally, the lake is open for night fishing.

Hungerford Lake is a 2-acre site that offers an excellent day’s sport for the keen Carp angler. Moreover, lilies and reeds add to the serene atmosphere and the mature trees are home to various wildlife species.

What size do the fish go to?

Bream, Roach and Tench generally average between 3-7lbs. Carp are frequently landed in double figures, with the largest specimen exceeding 20lbs.

What tactics work well?

Standard still water tactics are generally effective. Also, it is beneficial to utilise pellets and boilies during the warmer months. Furthermore, worms, sweetcorn and maggots are all popular choices of bait.
