Shortheath Water, located in Swadlincote, Derbyshire, is a family-owned and operated hidden gem in the heart of the National Forest. The peaceful and inviting venue looks out over an idyllic small lake that features a wildlife-filled island in the middle. There are 22 individual pegs spread out across approximately 4 acres. Carp make up the majority of the fish population in the lake, but there are also many other species of fish, including rudd, roach, tench, and bream, that give an additional appeal. Besides that, the venue also holds fishing contests and championships.
