What tactics work well?

Pole or float fishing with maggots to catch roach and rudd works wonders. Switch to  pellets or maize to catch larger fish. Carp, tench, and bream will all respond to boilies and feeder tactics when the bait is cast to the extreme margins of the lake. During the early morning and late evening hours, the near margins are a nice place to enjoy some sport fishing.
