Fishery Information
This venue is home to 3 beautiful lakes surrounded by breathtaking nature.
Situated on the southwest side of the venue, the Clay Pool is a 1.2-acre water with a clay-lined base. This mixed coarse fishery is home to common, mirror and ghost carp to 5 lbs, tench to 4 lbs, bream to 4 lbs, crucians to 1.5 lbs, ide to 2.5 lbs, perch to 2.5 lbs, roach to 1 lb, rudd to 1 lb, golden tench, golden rudd and barbel.
The Gravel Pit is 2.5 acres in size and is up to 23 feet in depth. This water is home to carp into double figures, green tench to 7 lbs, golden tench, bronze bream to 6 lbs, roach, rudd and perch.
The Old Trout Lake is a 4.5-acre coarse fishery with a depth of up to 30 feet. It is home to bream up to 3 lbs, skimmer, roach to 1 lb, rudd to 1 lb, green tench to 7 lbs, common carp to 9 lbs and perch to 3 lbs. Large pike can be found in this lake but day to day lure fishing or pike fishing is not permitted.
Night fishing is not allowed on site. Dawn to dusk fishing is available for anglers staying in The Lodge.
What size do the fish go to?
Rainbow trout go up to 20 lbs, carp to double figures, tench to 7 lbs, bream to 6 lbs, crucians to 1.5 lbs, ide to 2.5 lbs, perch to 3 lbs, skimmer to 3 lbs, roach to 1 lb and rudd to 1 lb.
What tactics work well?
Pole, feeder and float fishing work well for the 3 lakes. Popular baits include meat, mussel, pellets, corn, maggots, worms, casters and punch bread.
