Fishery Information

Located in the stunning countryside location of Carnot, Lancashire, Testwitfields Trout Fishery offers an excellent day’s sport to both the novice and more seasoned angler. Centred around 33 acres of mature trees, the lake is a 7-acre gravel pit with a healthy stock of Carp, Tench, Bream and Pike. The waters are open all year round and fishing is permitted both during the day and at nighttime.

As well as being a prime spot for fishing, Testwitfields has become a popular place for the daily family outing, largely due to the breathtaking views and its reputation as a hotspot for wildlife.

What size do the fish go to?

Bream and Tench tend to average between 2-6lbs. Pike and Carp are frequently landed in double figures, with the largest fish often exceeding 25lbs.

What tactics work well?

Using a feeder with worms, maggots and sweetcorn can be beneficial. Anglers have also reported that utilising pellets and boilies has proven to be extremely effective, especially during the warmer months.

What facilities are on site?

Clean and accessible toilet facilities are available on site.

Is parking available?

There are ample safe and secure parking spaces on location.
